Zentara is a homegrown Indonesian cybersecurity and defense technology company built by two founders who met from opposite ends of the same problem — one shaped by entrepreneurship and a personal brush with cybercrime, the other by a lifelong instinct for building and breaking systems. Together they set out to build what they felt didn’t exist yet: a cybersecurity company that treats innovation the way Apple treats design, or Palantir treats national-scale problems — visionary and precise, not reactive.

Zentara wasn’t starting from zero. It already had a name, a logo, and an ambitious existing identity. What it needed was a brand system — the way it spoke, the way it looked — rebuilt to match the seriousness of what it was actually building.

The Challenge

A Vision Too Out of This World to Build With

Zentara’s tagline, “Built by Minds Not From This World,” captured real intent — a refusal to think inside conventional playbooks. But that same ambition made the existing brand guidelines difficult for Zentara’s own team to apply day to day.

The visual language leaned heavily into abstract, parametric-style imagery that looked striking in a hero deck but broke down fast across the dozens of ordinary formats a growing company actually needs — access cards, letterheads, webinar decks, wall displays.

On top of that, cybersecurity itself was new territory for Stellaris1. This was a discovery-heavy engagement in the truest sense: we had to genuinely understand a Founding Customer Innovation Partner Program, digital sovereignty, and AI-driven vulnerability scanning before we could translate any of it into design — even though branding is only a small slice of a much larger, more serious venture Zentara is building.

Our Approach

Security as Living Architecture

The breakthrough came from an unexpected reference point: Zaha Hadid. Her architecture was never just about form — it was about how people move and live inside a space. Stellaris1 brought that same lens to Zentara’s brand: cybersecurity reframed not as a static shield, but as a living system — one where rules, relationships, and feedback loops are engineered so protection emerges from the architecture itself, rather than being bolted on after the fact.

This gave shape to the full brand strategy — vision, mission, brand essence (“At-the-ready technology: powering and protecting what’s next”), a Sage-led archetype mix (Sage/Ruler/Creator), and a manifesto built around treating security like architecture, not armor.

The “Palantir meets Zaha Hadid” framing — visionary, preventive, systemically precise — resonated with the founders immediately, giving Stellaris1 a clear foundation to rebuild everything on top of.

The Execution

Redesigning How Zentara Speaks and Looks

The engagement covered a full redesign of Zentara’s Brand Identity Guidelines — both the verbal system (tone of voice, communication guardrails, manifesto, positioning against Palantir-style Western dominance in favor of an Asian-led perspective) and the visual system (logo usage, the Z symbol, color palette built around Zentara Red, typography, iconography, photography direction, and the geometric 15° angle system that ties every layout together).

With the foundation rebuilt, Stellaris1 has continued supporting Zentara through the rollout of that system across a growing library of real-world applications, including:
– Booth & backwall graphics
– Business cards, mini cards, access cards + lanyards
– Letterheads, notepads & one-pagers
– Tote bags & bar menus
– Pitch decks, partner program decks & monthly webinar decks
– On-screen graphics, YouTube banners & screen savers
– Brochures & infraboard tables

This depth of ongoing collaboration was only possible because Zentara’s founders stayed remarkably open-minded and hands-on throughout — testing, questioning, and pushing the system alongside Stellaris1 rather than simply receiving it.

The Impact

A Brand the Team Can Actually Build With

The result is a brand system that keeps Zentara’s visionary edge — “Built by Minds Not From This World” as a standard, not a slogan — while finally giving the team something they can implement consistently, across every format, without losing the architectural precision that makes the brand distinct.

The collaboration hasn’t stopped at guidelines: Stellaris1 continues to be trusted with the full rollout, watching the brand move from an internal discovery document to a living identity across every new touchpoint Zentara ships.
