In Jakarta stands a heritage brand with more than 120 years of history, Laba-Laba Reparasi Segala. This family business, passed down through generations, is known for its craftsmanship in repairing leather goods from bags and shoes to everyday essentials like umbrellas, padel rackets, and even headphones. Each item restored by Laba-Laba represents dedication to precision, patience, and quality.
With such a long legacy, the challenge was clear:
How can Laba-Laba tell its story in today’s world? How can the legacy of craftsmanship and problem-solving that has become the brand’s DNA be communicated not only through its service, but also through its presence on social media?

Social Media Management
The collaboration between Stellaris1 and Laba-Laba began with social media management. The primary challenge was to create content that was not only visually appealing but also reflective of the brand’s deep-rooted craftsmanship and authenticity.
Stellaris1 focused on showing the real process behind every repair, how materials are handled, how tools are used, and how each item gets its second life. The intention was not only showcase finished work, bur also define brand’s character.
Unlike most brands that focus on likes or comments, Laba-Laba’s audience preferred to connect through direct messages. They reached out for consultations, repair assessments, and price estimates. These insights guided content development and helped highlight the brand’s capabilities. Over time, DM interactions increased, bringing more relevant leads and turning social media into both a showcase and a customer touchpoint.


Branding
From Digital Presence to Brand Transformation
The success of Laba-Laba’s digital presence strengthened the client’s confidence in Stellaris1. The founder recognized that if the brand could communicate effectively online, its visual identity should also evolve to reflect the same clarity and purpose.
The previous logo, featuring a literal hammer and needle, portrayed Laba-Laba as a simple repair shop rather than a brand grounded in strategic thinking and refined craftsmanship. Stellaris1 began the rebranding process by articulating Laba-Laba’s values and business philosophy in a clear and grounded manifesto.
The new visual identity drew inspiration from the spider itself—a precise and adaptive builder. Each strand of a spider’s web is constructed based on space and airflow, symbolizing balance between structure and flexibility. This concept mirrors how Laba-Laba repair methods to each item’s condition with careful consideration and tailored solutions.

Using the golden ratio as the foundation, Stellaris1 designed a logo that communicates both precision and adaptability. Its geometric form conveys discipline, while its open structure reflects creativity and responsiveness. Together, these elements capture the essence of Laba-Laba that is meticulous, intelligent, and solution-driven.
